More about Meg

I’ve been in the yoga world since I took my first class in 1998. Taking my first teacher training in 2009, I have 1000s of teaching hours and have completed trainings in Hatha, Adapted and Restorative Yoga ,as well as many continued education courses in Functional Anatomy, Somatic Flexibility and Neuroscience.

My love for anatomy guided me to become one of only a handful of qualified instructors in Australia in Adapted Yoga, working with students with spinal injuries and neuro impairment. This has enhanced my knowledge and understanding of adapting poses and working within and around the capabilities of each body on the mat. Think you need to take a rest when you’re injured? Yes, there’s a delicate balance between rest and movement, but there’s plenty of other body parts and systems behind the scenes to take care of – bring me your broken legs and frozen shoulders and let’s keep momentum in your life!

Since the Yoga Deck opened in 2015, it has become known as a space where longtime and new friends get together regularly, to laugh and practice yoga in a private indoor and outdoor setting…

“Everyone used to tell me I should do yoga and I tried many many times in various places and just didn’t understand what everyone raved about. And then…….I met Meg @ The Yoga Deck. Now, I get it! Meg is a truly inspirational, caring, professional, and amazing human being who happens to be also brilliant at yoga and yoga teaching. I am now a yoga convert attending regular classes either online or at the beautiful Deck and I love it! All thanks to Meg. She is phenomenal at accomodating everyone’s needs and levels at any point in time and her manner of instruction suits everyone. As you can see, I cannot recommend Meg highly enough”

Elana

I don’t consider myself a yoga person, but I’ve loved attending Meg’s classes for six years. Her knowledge of anatomy is engaging and helps me to visualise and connect to the part of my body I’m working. This connection enhances the depth of my stretches, creating a sensation of gently unfurling each joint and releasing tension throughout my body.
The smaller classes are great; everyone knows everyone, which makes for a laid-back and encouraging atmosphere. Without reservation, I wholeheartedly recommend her classes.
